DMC: Devil May Cry is a hack-and-slash fighting video game developed by Ninja Theory and published by Capcom. The game takes place in an alternate universe to the Devil May Cry series.
The game revolves around Dante, a young man with supernatural powers, who is attacked by a sentient city known as Limbo, inhabited by demons. The game takes place in an alternate dimension to the original saga, where Dante has lost his memory and no longer remembers anything about himself, except that he was tortured in a prison known as Hellfire as a teenager.
Dante tries to live a normal life, despite the difficulties he faces. His reckless behavior makes him known to the world as an uncontrollable sociopath and sexual deviant. From that moment, Dante begins his struggle to survive those who want to kill him, whether human or not.
