Konami announced many details for Pro Evolution Soccer 2016. The first news is about Konami celebrating the 20th anniversary of PES, which is why their slogan is “Love the Past, Play the Future.”
The game will feature a new tackling system, a new defensive system, and improved goalkeepers. Players’ aerial combat has also been improved, as the developers aim to improve PES 2015 and fix the problems that plagued the new game.
New celebrations have also been added, most notably the famous Italian player Totti, who took a selfie after scoring a goal in a match.
Ball physics have also been improved, making it more sensitive to weather conditions. Dynamic atmospheres have also been added, so a match can start on clear skies and then rain. Konami also announced that it has renewed its contract for the UEFA Champions League rights, which will last for three years.
PES game director Eric Bladinierz expressed his excitement for the new installment and said they will announce more details at E3 next week.
Eric said: “PES 2016 is the best game in the series’ history, and this is due to the game’s passionate fans who supported us and sent us their suggestions and opinions about the game, which helped us return to the origins of PES.”
